Some time has past since my previous post.
The bike has now done 1500 km.
The following events I can report.
I fell on an uphill full of potholes - my error . Front brake lever slightly bend else no problem which is more than what I can say for my condition after wards.
I had a flat tyre - front wheel. Had to take the wheel off and took it to the tyre place. After putting the wheel back on there was was I strange noise coming from the wheel. Took it to the shop. They took the wheel off, could not find anything wrong and put it back on. Noise gone - maybe some dirt ? Taking the front wheel off and putting it back on is very quick and easy.
I do a lot of bad dirt roads on the farm. There does seem to be a 'clacking' noise coming from the front shocks every time it takes a pothole - could be nothing serious. The shocks work perfectly though. According to the promotion ad the bike is not designed for bad dirt roads. We'll see how that plays out.
Ever since I got the bike I learned that the GOMOTO needs to be choked to start. Quite strange actually. Even on a hot summers day if you put he engine off for more than 30 seconds or so you need to put the choke on else it just does not start. This can be a bit annoying. If the bike is hot you have to start with the choke on and and release it immediately after wards, else the engine can stall. Anyway you get used to that soon. The engine always starts when the choke is on though. When the bike is cold you may have to run the starter for 5 seconds or so and if the bike is hot it starts immediately.
Bike still rides like a dream and I am am very happy with it.
Last time I checked which was about a month ago the bikes still went for R 11,500 . Very tempted to buy another.
